Extricate
Extricate is a project that shares an intimate, dark and decelerated universe through a circus performance & somatic sessions, as a reply to a world in overdrive. It’s is an “ode to the greatness of the small and unnoticed” that aims for audiences who want to disconnect to reconnect for a moment.
A circus performance
A circular, wordless circus performance lit up by torch lights made by Bert & Tomas with (hand) balancing, live composition, dance, foley effects & small details. The performance takes the audience on a journey that explores the hidden universes within that we often overlook.
Venue any indoor location
Duration 50 min
Audience Age 9 - 99 / 90 people
Artistic disciplines Hand balancing dance , live composition & foley
This is a non-verbal performance.
Decompression sessions
These two somatic 15min. sessions invite participants on a meditative journey similar to the performance, but from within the participants themselves. They discover the landscape of their hand or the lightness of a detail.
Both the somatic sessions & the (relaxed) performance are here to invite humans to rebel in gentle calmness and to make space to “Make it dark, So we can see, The smallest light, Roar, Across the sky”.
