A Departure from Thought (act)
A Departure from Thought is a piece that shares a universe that turns in a different manner. Based on the principles of Butoh, a movement style was developed for this piece with its primary goal of leaving the human-centred narrative and thought behind. With the support of Aurelia Brailowsky, Lisi Estaras and Alain Platel, this dimly lit universe grew into the solo it is now: A moment of a re-forming body, dragging, inverting, sliding and galloping itself through a shared space.

“In his solo, in which circus and dance play the leading role, he is constantly looking for a new definition for the well-known handstand. With enthusiasm and love for circus, dance, and the importance of his gut feeling, he guided me through this wonderful world.”
